   Who we are

   Munin is a consultancy based in Belo Horizonte (MG), Brazil, providing artificial intelligence, data engineering, and governance services. For the purposes of this policy and the LGPD, we act as the controller of the personal data collected through this site.

   What data we collect

   Data you actively provide

   When you use the site's contact form, we collect the information you provide yourself:

   • Name
   • Email address
   • Company or organization (optional)
   • Content of your message

   Cookies and browser storage

   We use a very lean set of cookies and browser storage. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site behavioral tracking, or analytics tools.

   Strictly necessary cookies

   We use one strictly necessary cookie, written the first time you respond to the cookie banner:

   • munin-consent — records your response to the cookie banner (accepted or rejected) so we don't have to ask again the next time you open the site, and so we can honor a rejection in the toggles below. Valid for up to one year.

   Preference cookies (non-essential)

   We only write the following cookie when you actively choose a preference on the site:

   • munin-locale — your language preference (Portuguese or English), set when you use the PT/EN toggle. Valid for up to one year.

   Browser storage (non-essential)

   We use the browser's local storage (localStorage) — not a cookie — to remember your visual theme preference (light or dark), written only when you use the theme toggle. We also use session storage (sessionStorage) to record that the cookie banner was shown in the current tab; this item is cleared when you close the tab.

   All of these items remain on your browser only and are not transmitted to our servers nor combined with other personal information. You can remove them at any time through your browser's settings. Clicking "Don't store" on the cookie banner also clears them and prevents the toggles from persisting in future sessions.

   Why we process your data

   Personal data submitted via the contact form is processed exclusively for the following purposes:

   • Recording and responding to your message;
   • Maintaining a history of your interactions with us;
   • Evaluating commercial opportunities and preparing eventual proposals;
   • Scheduling meetings and diagnostic conversations;
   • Complying with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

   We do not process your data for automated marketing, advertising profiling, or sale to third parties.

   Legal basis

   The legal basis for processing the personal data submitted via the contact form is consent, under art. 7, item I, of the LGPD.

   That is why we require you to expressly tick the acceptance of this Privacy Policy before sending the message. Without that confirmation, the form is not submitted.

   Whom we share your data with

   To receive, store, and respond to messages submitted through the contact form, we use a corporate inbox managed by Google. In this arrangement, Google acts as our processor (operator under the LGPD), processing personal data on our behalf and under our instructions.

   Outside of that flow, we do not share the data collected with any other third party, except when required by law, by court order, or by a duly substantiated request from a competent authority.

   How long we keep your data

   We retain the personal data submitted via the contact form for up to 5 (five) years from your last contact with Munin, or until you withdraw your consent — whichever comes first.

   Once that period expires, or once consent is withdrawn, the data is deleted, except where retention is required by law.

   Your rights as a data subject

   The LGPD grants you, as a data subject, the following rights:

   • Confirmation that your data is being processed;
   • Access to the data;
   • Correction of incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data;
   • Anonymization, blocking, or deletion of data that is unnecessary, excessive, or processed in non-compliance with the LGPD;
   • Data portability to another service or product provider;
   • Deletion of personal data processed on the basis of consent;
   • Information about the public and private entities with which Munin shares your data;
   • Information about the possibility of withholding consent and its consequences;
   • Withdrawal of consent.

   How to exercise your rights

   To exercise any of the rights above — including withdrawing your consent — send an email to contato@somosmunin.com.br describing what you need. We respond within the applicable legal timeframe.

   Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the request and may make it impossible for us to continue fulfilling certain purposes.

   Information security

   We adopt reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data we collect against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, and accidental disclosure. The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and applies security headers on every response.

   No system, however, is absolutely impenetrable. In the event of a security incident that may pose a relevant risk or harm to data subjects, we will notify those affected and the ANPD as required by the LGPD.

    This Privacy Policy may be updated at any time to reflect changes in our practices, in applicable legislation, or in the operation of the site. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.

    Relevant changes will be highlighted whenever applicable.
